The two integrations will supposedly benefit Avalanche devs and users in a great measure.
On June 10, an ETH-based decentralized blockchain oracle network Chainlink fired up two new services dubbed Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) and Chainlink Keepers. On top of that, both services are now live on the subnet Avalanche Primary Network.

According to the official announcement, the launch of both services will greatly contribute to assisting Avalanche (AVAX) developers and consumers. For instance, with Chainlink VRF, developers will have the opportunity to utilize a safe random number generator (RNG) that is more economical and scalable. With Chainlink Keepers, builders will be able to automatize smart contract functions without relying on centralized automation processes.
The CEO of Ava Labs Emin Gün Sirer mentioned that the two initiatives were a “fantastic milestone for Avalanche builders,” while adding that Chainlink VRF and Chainlink Keepers will facilitate the use of the platform for developers and users. Sirer added:
“The Avalanche Community is full of tireless builders, and their ability to rapidly build and ship applications at scale just became even easier.”
The services will reportedly provide improvements in the functionalities and designs within decentralized applications (dApps).
Sergey Nazarov, the co-founder of Chainlink, also expanded upon the importance of the launch by implying that this integration will assist the builders in producing “next-generation hybrid smart contract applications” with end-to-end automation. He mentioned:
“With the enhanced security and uptime guarantees provided by Chainlink Keepers and the scalability and cost-efficiency of Chainlink VRF v2, Avalanche developers can now continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the Web3 space.”
In addition, as stated in the official report, Chainlink VRF can be utilized by Avalanche devs to construct applications “leveraging verifiable randomness” in order to assist in securing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) minting. Also, it can be used to generate fair in-game results, as well as “support other use cases” in decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), decentralized finance (DeFi), and more.
In other news, back in March, the Avalanche Foundation announced the launch of its new incentive program that will seek to develop subnets so that they could support ecosystems such as NFTs, DeFi, blockchain gaming, etc.
