Musk Implies Crypto Payments Should be Integrated to Twitter

[ad_1]

Musk believes that digital payments should be fully introduced on Twitter.

During a virtual all-hands meeting held on June 16, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk stated that the integration of crypto payments to Twitter actually “makes sense.”

The billionaire mentioned that money has already been digital for quite some time now. Thus, it seems logical that Twitter would accept payments in digital assets in order to send and receive money more easily.

In fact, Twitter has been part of the crypto world for a significant amount of time. For instance, last year, it introduced “Bitcoin tipping”, whereas earlier this year, the platform added Ethereum (ETH) functionality. On top of that, Twitter actually became the first platform to explore possibilities provided by the Irish-American payments processor dubbed Stripe.

Earlier in April, Musk said that he would buy the social media platform for $44B. Although the talks on the initiative have quieted down, during the virtual meeting, Musk reassured the public and stated that his plans to acquire Twitter are still on track.

Yesterday, the business magnate along with Tesla and SpaceX were sued for $258 billion after one Dogecoin investor raised a lawsuit against the CEO. The three parties supposedly participated in a crypto pyramid scheme and manipulated the price of Dogecoin.
